I will have the DVX by tomorrow!

Sorry

No reply is really needed. I just wanted to say, I ordered my DVX and it will be here by 10:30 am tomorrow. I am so stoked and cannot even wait.

Sigh.

That's funny. I'm in my early 30's and I work for a living. Save, save, save. Cut out uneeded expenses and sacrifice.

I think people assume your young because one uses the words "stoked"? I'm a native San Diegan. Born and bred on "Awesome" "Stoked" and "Gnarly". And yes, I do surf by the way. I do not always try and sound eloquent in these threads; if I'm stoked, I'm stoked.

I'll update my profile now! Thank you! I almost got the XL1s, and then held back (Someone tried to sc*w me on Amazon Merchant.

After further reasearch I decided that the DVX would be my best option (many different reasons such as 24p to the $$$$$ accessory list for XL1s; mainly 24p)

I have been 'playing with my baby' all day and I cannot believe the quality of imagery and the control one has with this camera (Master Peds, chroma, gamma, etc)

convinced

I just purchased my AG-DVX100 today and although I haven't really had the opportunity to test it out yet I feel like a little kid with thing in my possession.

*sitting quietly - just staring at the machine in disbelief*

I was originally torn between the XL1S and GL2 but after finding this board and reading all the posts ... I knew the AG was the way to go for me.

Thanks to everyone who has provided so much input about this camera. I'm looking forward to seeing what this bad boy can do.

Cheers!

Isn't the battery charging part the worst? It's like "tick - tock. tick - tock" Like watching grass grow. There is a 3 hour battery available and that is one of the first accessories I will be getting!

This camera rocks.

do tell ...

3 hour battery? I'd invest in one of those in a heartbeat. Are you purchasing online? If so, please share your source. Thanks.

I bought a CGP-D28s/CGP-D320 battery together with the DVX100 (PAL), which has an operating time of 5 hours according to the leaflet. It's charging now for the 1st time, so no experiences so far.

There are several webshops that sell Panasonic batteries.
