playing footage on the dvx100
Ok well I just got my dvx this weekend and it's amazing. But if I lose my controller am i pretty much screwed if i wanted to watch back some footy? Why isn' t there and controls on the camera? Thats my only complaint about the camera. Everyting else is great so far.

I thought the DVX was the same as the DVC80 -- with a tiny "joystick" right above the LCD monitor, next to the menu button. This controls both playback functions and menu surfing and has your typical "remote control" markings (single arrow for Play, double arrow for RW and FF, box for Stop)
I'd be surprised if the DVX100 is missing this (not-so-ergonomic) toggle switch. I don't think there's any function on my DVC80 remote that I can't accomplish on the cam (that is, w/out the remote). |
