Initial thoughts on ag-dvc80...
After some initial problems ;) I have completed my first day of filming with the ag-dvc80. I have to say that all in all, I am very excited about the quality of footage I am getting from it. Mind you, I am a newbie, and have no experience or idea about how to go about setting up the camera and scene file presets, but I feel the quality is very nice! I am approximating a film look in after fx by using the old import 2 copies of footage, one lower field first, one upper first, and then tweaking color, hue sat, levels, and poserizing time. The look is not magic bullet, but very nice for free. I'll keep you posted. My deadline is 5:00 pm tomorrow, and I've got to chop 30 minutes of video down to a minute, as well as record a soundtrack, play a guitar solo, and add titles and effects! Wish me luck.
