DVX100 Error message
Please, If anybody know what is mean crossed red circle in left corner of LCD display and viewfinder.
This sign is comming on and off sporadicaly. |

I believe you're talking about the icon that displays when there's no tape in.

Peter,
It can be one of the 2 reasons: 1:It means your heads are dirty. 2:It can be a bad tape, replaced the tape and it might go away. Johnnie |

a crossed red circle means dirty head
i had afew other errors the pther day, I usually wind the tapes to slacken them a bit, but the camera had some issues with the tape and asked me to reset the camera after power down.. i then put the same tape in my mx500 to do the FF thinking it was jsut the way i put the tape in... the mx didnt like it either but ther was no message or anythign... turns out it was a bodgy tape and as i tried to remove the tape it got chewed... so these cams arent as dumb as we like to think they are i guess... |
