Audio Output Alternatives
I am going to need to use the DVX-100 in the field to play back some footage right after recording it. The facility has a console with TRS and XLR inputs into their sound system. From the manual, it does not appear that the XLR jacks on the DVX-100 will "output" a signal as a tape is played back. Has anyone tried to do this anyway? Is there an audio feed out other than the pin RCA jacks?
If I have to use RCA, is there a special cable to go to XLR or TRS? Would this typicaly be a "balanced" or "unbalanced" cable? |

The XLR connectors on the DVX100 are for input only.
You can use a RCA -> XLR cable/adapter though. The cable will be unbalanced, but that won't be a big issue for you when using it for playback.

Thanks Johan. I went to my local music equipment retailer and had a hard time finding RCA to XLR. But I was able to get RCA to TRS and this should (hopefully) work fine for this application.
