Panasonic Customer Care Plans?

Anyone purchase or have a customer care plan from Panasonic for their AG-DVX100? Its similar to an extended warranty direct from Panasonic, check out the link here. Think its worthwhile?

I bought a 4 year Mack Extended warranty. I would stick with Panasonic and Mack for extended plans. I did it mostly for resale value, though depending on the what happens with 16X9 24p CCD's, I might have my DVX100 for some time as well.

Is the Mack warranty transferable?

The B&H site says: "Such service, repairs or adjustment of this equipment is assured the original purchaser only."

even though i got a mack warranty it didn't cost me anything... it MIGHT be better than nothing but i've never heard anything good about MACK
didnt search to much, only for "MACK warranty scam" and got lots of bad stuff, but my search was intended to do that... any good experiences would be great to hear

When I went to the Mack site they listed an address in Springfield, NJ. It is a relatively small camera store where I had my Minolta X-700 repaired 10-12 years ago.

As a small camera repair shop they were fine. As an international video equipment warranty insurer, I don't know.

I wouldn't pay several hundred dollars for a Mack warranty, but mine was bundled with my DVX100 for a little over $100 I recall.

I've know several people who had repairs done under the valid Mack warranty and repairs were slow but quality.
