century optics....

are doing a good job on making this cam better. I like the manual focus ring they have made.

Well we'll have to see it in action- does it make the focus ring any more tense. It's way too loose! It needs resistance similar to the XL-1's manual focus.

If you do, could you tell us whether you can still use the sun shade that came with the camcorder? I don't see where you could mount it - then again, it isn't the most effective of shades either but...

$400 eh? hmm not "tooo" bad, i'm anxious to hear from reports. Wondering if this will be gimmicky and would prolly mean we'd need to get a new lens shade? Unless the hold for the screw is left uncovered

CO says it works just fine with existing sunshade, but no new pics available at this time.

Thanks Stephen. I hate when a new accessory comes out it seems we have to sacrifice something else in turn (take for example, the Panasonic 16:9 lens and no filters, matte box, etc).

I wonder which follow focus solution would go well with this product...
