Progressive Scan Monitors for DVX100

I'm looking for some monitor system that will display DVX100 footage off tape progressive scan for use on-set, indoors, outdoors under a hood and in editing bay. Should be small enough to move around and big/sharp enough for accurate focus and color judgments.

Any ideas...?

From what i understood, no matter which mode the camera is in, it is still recording interlaced onto the actual tape and outputting from it's AV plugs, it only becomes true progressive scan during editing if a particular procedure is carried out.

I am almost positive this is the case, so the best monitors would still be in the line of the 9" portable Sony broadcast monitors and so on.

Many progressive scan tv/monitors are supposed to extract 24p from telecined film material - why not from DVX tape which is in essence telecine.

Of course, the twist would be 24pA, since it's 2:3:3:2 rather than 2:3, but it some set may offer adjustable features.

Ahh ok, i did not know that.

I guess it is whatever you budget allows, but also consider what your final product is intended for, if it is dvd or tv, then a standard broadcast monitor seems like the best bet anyways.
