Sharpness Control on MX300
Hi I was just curious, I have read different things about white halo's around dark objects on the Panasonics, and it seems some people have remedied this by turning down the sharpness control? I can't find any sharpness control on my MX300, does it have this function(maybe I'm just missing it?) or is the sharpness control only on the 350 and 500?
Thanks, Brian |

It's there all right.
In the Camera mode, Main Menu, choose Advanced Functions, then Picture Adjust menu. If I'm not wrong again, you must be in MANUAL mode else the menu is "blue-ed" out and you can't get in. On my MX300, to avoid halo's, I adjust the settings to either one or two notches to the left of the middle. Two notches or more can remove some of the video noise in dark / dimly lit surroundings. Depending on your preference, you may want less sharpness to achieve a more "film like" or less "computer staircase on the edges" look. Or you may find the default sharpness gives your video a really nice "sharp & crisp" look. |

I found it thanks for the help, I had been looking for it while in auto mode. It is a great feature!
