Panasonic DVC30 problems
Okay guys, this problem has been bothering me for the past week and my pastor will probably send the camcorder back to Panasonic. Keep in mind that this cam is only 6 months old. I brought and/or tested it on 4 different firewires, 5 different video capture cards, 9 different computers (4 mac & 5 pc). Mac OS and Windows XP/Pro was all tested on. I basically did all my homework.
So, here is the problem. My computer is detecting the pci card, but when I hook the cam up and put it on vcr, I get no respond from the computer. The "Microsoft Camera & VCR" do not pop up anymore like it did in the past. I'm thinking that the problem is within the dv slot. I hope it's not the dv slot, but a setting I hit by mistake in camera or vcr mode. "Hitting a setting or disable something" is basically my last option. Also, I'm having a difficult time contacting panasonic customer service. If anyone have the number, "Please" reply. I basically use this cam for sunday and wednesday services for my church. I am really trying to get the problem resolved by this Wednesday if probably. I have soooooooo many tapes to edit (plus shool work and my job). So any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for reading and have a blessed day. |

Thanks for the thread. I see that I'm not alone. One person recommended a site that said that my pci card is probably not receiving enough power to transfer data. sounds weird.
