Weather Protection For MX/GS series?
Hi All,
I have a MX8 at the moment and am getting my GS400 in a week or two. I've noticed some of my screws coroding and wondered if there is something I could apply to them to prevent this. eg: oil or similar. I film mostly outdoors and also have had condensation problems in high humidity. Is it safe to wrap the camera in a plastic bag to protect it from moisture and use it for longer periods? I've noticed that commercial bags are available but are quite expensive. Any ideas or solutions would be appreciated. Thanks, Ian |

I'd invest in a dive bag like those made by EWA Marine. These really aren't very expensive.

Thanks Guy,
I've never heard of these and don't know if I could get them in Oz. Is it ok then to wrap the cam in a plastic cover for 2-3 hours? I thought the cam might need to "breathe". Maybe you could describe what these dive bags are? Ian |
