considering the gs400

I am ready to buy a new camera and its between the panasonic gs400 and the sony pdx10. Unfortunately no one around me carries these models for me to check out.My questions for the gs400 owners out there are these, 1: is the angle of view increased in the 16:9 mode? I read somewhere that it wasn't any wider than the 4:3 mode. 2: durability. How well made is this unit? The audio problem some of you out there have experienced has me worried about the tape transport longterm.

The angle should increase when switched to 16:9. Read up about the GS400 more here...
