NV-GS400 vs PV-GS400
Hi,
Just wanted to ask gs-400 experts here what are the differences betwen these two models ? I think tha someone already stated that this is only system related (PAL/NTSC) but I am not sure. Thanx, Best regards Darko |

NV-GS400 is Japan NTSC
NV-GS400B is PAL (at least for UK) PV-GS400 is N.A. NTSC I'm not sure of any more differences between these other than the PAL and NTSC differences you mentioned. The Japanese NV-GS400 is also available in black but I'm not sure if history repeats itself where features are intentially left off the N.A. and PAL counterparts. |

Thanx Tommy,
now its clear to me, but one more thing ... seems like you are right about the colour, can not find black one (PAL), is that correct? |

More different models
I'm also curious if there are any other differences because there seems to be more different models.
(as long as I gathered from from web) NV-GS400K - Japan (plus black one) NV-GS400B - UK NV-GS400GC - Russia NV-GS400EG - Germany and probably all Central Europe I hope there is only difference in TV system and menu language. BTW: I'm also looking forward to black one here in Europe Petr |

Lets hope the nv designation is simply a way to track different markets and isn't a dumbed down version. If it is, we should boycott it, even the Japanese model.

Well it wouldn't be the first time Panasonic has stripped features off their exported NTSC and PAL models.
So far it looks like Japan is the only place to get a black GS400. That makes absolutely no sense! |
