PV-DV953 Frame Mode??
On some messages posted on the Camcorder Info website, that appear below the latest review on the PV-DV953, a couple of people claimed that a "Frame-mode" feature was listed in the Menu. No mention is made of this by the manufacturer or any professional reviewer. Does anyone know what this is? Has anyone used it, if it actually exists?
Often, concealed or unmentioned features are found in camcorders and go undiscovered by many users. Steve McDonald |

Steve, yes, it has frame mode. It should be in the user's manual. You can download the manual for free (PDF format).

Can frame mode and real 16x9 be used at the same time?

Frame mode of MX500 (PAL DV953) looks much better then "progressive" of Sony PC330 and 1/25 shooting of Canon MVX3i (Optura Xi)
