STOLEN gs-100
Hi folks,
Have been in the process of obtaining a GS-100 thru pricejapan who ships using DHL. The first shipment was declared 'lost' about 2 weeks ago - seems to have been 'misplaced' at the Burlington, VT facility. DHL finally got their act together and got the claim settled. PriceJapan immediately sent another one out but belive it or not, the 2nd one was stolen again at the same place, in the VT facility. Cannot tell you how infuriated I am with DHL and they're certainly going to hear much more from me soon. In the meantime, I would request the assistance of those out there to keep their ears open for any offers of a new GS-100, possibly for sale by an 'owner' from the northeast. I figure these are rare in the US and i've been checking e-bay. I have a personal hatred for those who steal and will do anything to bring those responsible to justice in any manner or form. Nevertheless, I also wanted to emphasize that PriceJapan provides excellent service and feedback and were prompt in shipping a replacement once DHL admitted its loss. Thank you for listening. Dave. |

Hi Dave,
I had the same thing happen several months ago in Chicago. Fortunately, they only took one, not two. DHL was good about accepting responsibility and Pricejapan replaced rapidly, but it took lots of phone calls with supervisors to get it all accomplished. The really awful part was that I could see on the DHL tracking page that the camera was in Chicago, only a few miles away from my house, but it disappeared before delivery. clem |
