Thanks from FortVir.net
I want to thank the forum for the exceptional response to the DV953 album on my website. There are now over 2200 views of the videos, frame grabs and photos in the album, most of which have occurred since I joined this forum. I'm happy to be able to give something back to this community from whom I've learned so much.

2200 views? That's pretty good. (It must be because of your Pana cam.)

Hmmm, that's a pretty old post you resurrected, Frank. Views are now over 5000 in the aggregate. It could be the camera...but I choose to believe it is because of my superior artistic ability ;-).
Joking aside, folks are hungry for definitive information on specific cameras, particularly comparisions among similar models between manufacturers. They prefer things they can see versus word descriptions, IMO. Too bad there is not more of that on DVinfo. |

You are correct, of course. There is never enough good information about cams. Whenever I go to a cam shop to look at something, or buy something, I cringe when I hear the conversation between the salesperson and his customer. It's the blind leading the blind, and often the customer ends up buying what the salesperson recommends. Ugh.
