Panasonic SV-AV100 vs. SV-AV100B
Anyone know if there is any difference in these models?
I'm wondering if the PAL version is higher rez than the NTSC version... |

There's a Panasonic Europe site (www.panasonic-europe.com) that might have more info. BTW, people seem to be having problems with actually editing footage taken with this great looking gadget. One person reported that Panasonic's response was that it's meant to work with their (expensive) dvd recorder/editor, not with any other software.

I did find the Europe site and did find it is 25fps 702X576.
But I don't know what the signal is like. I also don't love the fact it uses SD rather than CF as the drives are larger and cheaper. I also found the NTSC model (dead) at circuit city. Size is very appealing, but unsure how easy it is to operate. |

Remembered another site where I had seen some discussion, and it looks as though there have been some updates since I last visited: http://forum.mobilemag.com/viewtopic.php?topic=1979&forum=13. If you decide to buy it, hope you'll let us know how well you think it works.

Thanks for the link. I'm still on the fence. I want a very small, cheap PAL cam that does not record on tape.
