It has a multi-purpose socket that will accept the supplied zoom controller/mic combo or just a standard 1/8" mini plug mic.

Just a quick question, When you plug in the standard 1/8 mini mic plug into the mic input will that turn the external mic off?

The answer is yes that once a mic is plugged in the the internal mic is disabled. |
