Panasonic GS100K lcd artifacts
Hi,
I just got a new Panasonic GS100K black. I noticed that when I turn the camera off there are artifacts on the LCD screen that take a few seconds to disappear. They look like stripes that appear on the bottom half of the screen. Is this a sign of lcd defect or is this normal with all lcd screens? Thanks. Jack |

Mine is having same "defect" sometimes. I don't think it's something to worry about but it doesn't look quite normal either. Hmmm...

I've seen these on other Panasonic cams and is nothing to be concerned with. I've even noticed it on small LCD TVs and games. More than likely the LCD portion of the camera retains power a little longer (capacitors possibly) than the rest of the camera and what you're seeing is its drain down effects.

I also get this with my JVCs when I first turn on the cams.
