Do you recognize NV MX2EG
I want to buy a new NV MX 2EG as a precursor to a Black PALmamba when it eventually reaches Europe. But before I do so, I want to study its manual. Try as I may, I cannot find any reference to it on the internet while the Pana London telephone line is closed. So the help I am seeking is:
1. Where can I find the information I am looking for? 2. Is there an equivalent number to MX 2EG 3. What is the assessment of current users of this model 4. What is the assessment of the past owners and why did they changed? Thanks in advance. Clive.

Hi Clive! Re: "NV MX 2EG as a precursor to a Black PALmamba." I don't have a clue what the 2EG is. I don't think there was ever such a cam. Most likely, you have some numbers missing. EG stands for "English." Since you mentioned, "NV-MX---," It could be any of these European Pana cams:
MX8 MX300 MX200 MX250 (not sure if there was a PAL version) MX350 (not sure if this PAL model was sold in Europe) MX500 Anyways, it seem likely the GS100 (Black Mamba) will be coming to PALsville. No word on the silver version, though. (Oh, well.) |

Hi Frank, Thank you very much for your information. I just managed to get the details from Pana. London. (They are very helpful but European products only, +44 8705 357 357). They e-mailed me the full manual and it appears that it is a poorer sister of MX8. It is a little bit too long in the tooth since it made its début over two years ago. Consequently I lost all the interest in it.
I had an e-mail from Chuckmeister yesterday with dreadful news about the Black PALmamba. I better not repeat it here and spoil the hopefuls’ Yuletide. The details will be in Meistro’s January Gossip Column. So much so that I am now considering getting an NTSC version trough him and computer convert the results to PAL. I understand it is being done but it may be a privilege of the professionals. Samuel Raj managed to round up a lot of GS 100k owners on his "Gs 100k Owners Association!!" thread. Some of them may be living in the PALlands. I am now thinking of starting a new thread to get some help from them. Unfortunately not all of them declare their location, and this is a pity. Thanks again. Clive.

Dreadful news about the Black PALmamba? Hmmm. I just got a pic on the PAL Black Mamba yesterday. Looks exactly like the Japanese Black Mamba.
PS: I also got the meister news about a week ago. ------------------------------------------ http://www.noradsanta.org - Check this website throughout the day and night on Christmas Eve for a real-time update on Santa's journey. |
