Finally! the MX300/0 replacement is coming

Methinks that the AG-DVC30 is actually the MX300/0 replacement. What do you think?

Because the DVC30 has a 1/4" CCD?

2 more years from now and I "might" replace my MX5000 w/ the used DVC30.

Yes, 1/4" CCDs with more video effective CCD pixels than the MX300/0, plus improved audio among other things. It also comes with a better LCD and retains the great MX3 viewfinder.

I would agree with that statement.

Is it me or does this thing look identical to a PDX10 when its all dolled up with mic?

Sure does, except that you can probably actually hold the DVC30; and don't forget it has bigger CCDs and bigger CCD pixels (less of them). :-(

Does anyone know what the filter threads size is on the DVC30? I can see myself possibly leaning toward this cam, but I would hate to give up my current filter collection. :-))

PS: maybe Pana will have a silver-colored consumer version comming?
