What camera works best with the GS100

A friend of mine wants to buy a camera that will work well in low light (shooting weddings) and also be able to blend well with footage shot from the GS100k. Of course he does not want to spend over $1800 if possible but will if he has to.
I told him I didn't know the answer but I knew a group of people that would:-) Thanks in advance for your help.

I don't think there is such a cam for under $1800 US "that will work well in low light (shooting weddings) and also be able to blend well with footage shot from the GS100k." A very used, heavily discounted DVX80 perhaps?

Would something like a Canon GL-2 work?

It wouldn't look the same. The GS100 footage is a lot sharper than GL2 footage.

WOW! Who knew that the GS100 had such a wide range in sharpness from camera to camera:-)) :-))

Really, If not the canon then what. I haven't used any of the more expensive cameras so I need your help on this one.

Oops. I meant GS100 footage is sharper than GL2 footage.

DVC80? Maybe. I don't know for sure.
