A shot in the dark
If your asking how to turn the LCD lumination on.
First put the camera in 0 lux mode by pushing the night view button two times. Then flip the screen (as you said) 180 degrees. |

I went out and found a dark place and tried to film a few minutes or so. I could see what I was shooting via the LCD light if I was about three maybe four feet away from my subject. At around five feet it got a bit hard to make out what I was seeing. Things would blur if I moved the camera to fast. Overall it did a good job for no other light than the camera LCD. Down side, you can hurt yourself walking around in the dark:-))

:-)
I did it on my little daughter slipping this night. Just flipped the LCD, switched to o lux and filmed as she was slipping in so cute pose... The footage end up brght enough (though shoot from less then 1m) and quite grainy and low frame rate, as expected from 0 lux mode. I do not mind, just to catch the expression. Regards, Alex |
