GS100 preview and playback qualities on TV
Just to note something I noticed with my new GS100:
once beign in preview mode (just video on LCD/finder/TV(hooked up by AV with no Recording) the video on TV screen appears as being low resolution and colors are far from what to be expected frmo this camera. I just had a bad feeling in mt stomach until viewed a recorded footage - on TV it looked just stunning - pin sharp, top resolution, colors fidelity is great. (the image on TV was actually better then looked on many satelite channels). Now I seem to understand what is happening - preview seems to provide lesser resolution (perhaps even oe field per interlaced frame) just to make sure it is looking good on LCD (and it is), but a real video quality is a recorded one. Well, looked on some different monitor (professional Sony) - preview looks quite good, haven't yet did a playback no one though. Will do today evening to check again.
Chances I was wrong about percieved difference in quality between preview and playback. Alex |
