Best Cheap Panasonic Cam
Ok, the subject might be a little bit of an oxymoron, but I'm looking to get a cheap camera to use as a deck but also doubles as backup/wide angle cam at weddings and such.. Ive used the Canon ZRs and for the price those are amazing little cameras. Are there anything comparable in the Panny line? I want a Panasonc one because it will share the same battery as my DVX100 and can also double as another charger. I'm looking to spend about $400. Thanks!

Perhaps look around for last year's PV-DV702. You may find one for about $600 US. Perhaps check with http://www.buydig.com

I have a Panasonic DV52, it's pretty cool. You can get the DV53 for around $350 at B&H. The LCD went out recently, and it's not worth paying like $100+ to get it fixed (for labor, its still under warranty) so i'm just going to keep it like it is, and probably buy another camera on ebay for around $200.
Would I buy it again even if I knew the LCD would go out? Yes. It's the best thing you can get for the price, and i'd rather have one over a Canon ZR anyday (small ccd's). |

Yes, and you shot some video, Alex, with your Panasonic DV52. I really liked the one with the *** orange hat. That was too funny.
