Recovering Files
Sigh...operator error I'm afraid. Has anyone had any luck recovering .mts files from an SD card? We shoot with HMC150s and I'm afraid we formatted a card before transferring footage. Luckily it's not the most important of things, but I would still like to get it back. We have not recorded anything else on the card since the mishap.
Any advice would be appreciated! |

Re: Recovering Files
this might be doable, usually it's a 'quick' format, which for most cameras involve deleting the FAT i.e. File Allocation Table and possibly leaving the clips still on the card.
On the other hand if it's a full format this involves deleting and overwriting all data on the card and there is no chance of recovery. So depending on whether your camera does a quick or full format will determine the chances of a successful recovery. I've had good experiences with a program called R-Studio, from a company called r-tools, in particular you'll need R-Undelete to have a go at your formatted card good luck Rob
