Pan AG-AC160 and Sony FX1 : same shoot ?
The shoot is currently in pre-production. It will require live switching 3 cameras in a studio.
I have the Pan AG-AC160 , the other cam op. has two Sony FX1. Would this be a real apples / oranges match up ? At a glance I don't think it would be a good match but I have to back it up with facts before submitting my findings to the Producer. Anyone have insight or know where I could go to find out more ? thanks, KC email: flowingcamera@gmail.com

Re: Pan AG-AC160 and Sony FX1 : same shoot ?
As you probably know the AC160 has a sharper image while the FX1 has warmer skin tones. Matching the sharpness is relatively easy. How easy it is to match the colors can be affected by the studio furnishings and what people wear. Plastic and polyesters seem the most difficult.
As far as I know, neither camera has a configurable RG RB GR GB BR BG color matrix so some color matching may have to be done externally. Really, it is difficult to know how well the cameras can be matched until you go into the studio and try. Even then, a surprise guest may suddenly appear wearing a polyester clown suit with bright colors that look hopelessly different on each camera. I would try using the the two fX1's for medium and closeup, and the 160 for wide. That way difference would not be as apparent to the general viewer.
