New Desktop to Use with TM700
The computers and laptops I have at home are ancient and slow. I want to buy a new desktop (preferably with a touch screen) that can handle editing 1080p60 footage from the TM700 without reasonable quickness.
Sony VAIO VPC-L231FX/W Review & Rating | PCMag.com I like the Sony VAIO VPC-L231FX/W for its price and that it comes with Sony Vegas preinstalled. I would prefer that it had an i5 processor instead of the i3 but if it can do the job, oh well. Was looking for comments on this system or any system similar in price and specs. Thanks Patrick |

Re: New Desktop to Use with TM700
Hi Patrick.
I would go for at least an i5, it will make life so much easier when editing 1080/50p. For that sort of money you could get an i5 or i7 come to that. I just spent £420 on an Acer i5 laptop with 8gb ram. It handles anything I throw at it, 1080/50p, Sony XD Cam EX, 3 camera multicam edits, colour correction etc, all in real time. Certainly the cheapest edit machine I have ever purchased. Shop around for a bargain, there are lots out there.
