Anyone have an opinion on this telephoto lens for the HMC-150?

They make it sound like a 'Panasonic lens', but I'm pretty sure it's not, it's pretty cheapish aftermarket lens that appears to offer something for very little. You'll have far more telephoto reach (something that the 150 needs) you'll keep your f/2.8 maximum aperture and all will be rosy.
But I bet it's not. A 2.2x magnification is seriously powerful and your 12x zoom will be something like a 2x zoom with the converter in place, as it'll quickly vignette the image as you zoom towards wide. If you really can't move forward to film the lions then it's got to be one solution, but don't expect miracles. The Canon 1.4x tele-converter I used with the Z1 was a resolution disappointment. tom. |
