Double shoe on HMC150 for Accessories

The HMC-150 is a great camera but sure could use extra shoes on the top for lights and wireless receivers. Has anyone got a line on where to find something to add extra shoes to the standard one?? Even my AGC-10 had 2.....

You can use the Pearstone Accessory Shoe Adapter w/ 1/4-20 Stud Connector which fits on the additional 1/4-20 hole on the handle of the HMC150

Or you can get a simple rycote shoe extension bar on the cold shoe of the HMC150

I got one of these as a gift...

N R G R E S E A R C H

but I see B&H and other vendors now list them as no longer available. However the manufacturer has them listed on its' web site.

I've used it on my HMC with a Smith-Victor SV-840 and a LitePanels Micro Lite, with both mounted at the same time. Quirks include these:
- with the barn doors on the S-V open, they're wide enough to interfere with the Micro
- any accessory puts weight up there, making the cam more prone/sensitive to any vibration
- with a tripod on a dolly, the screw-in shoe has worked loose when moving the rig over uneven flooring, e.g. tile floors with wide grout lines, and parking-lots. (I suppose a rubber washer of some type might help, but I haven't made a point of getting one and making it fit)
- when I first got it, EVERYTHING was a tight fit. I bought a set of slim-line files and filed each receiving groove every so slightly, and now things slide in/out much easier.

It's acceptable if you're not moving the rig from place-to-place. Just be ever-mindful that the rig will be more sensitive to any vibration.

For my wireless receiver, I use

a "Jimmy Box" Large size for my A-T 1800 series receiver. Jimmy attaches to bottom of cam, then plate attaches to bottom of the Jimmy.
But it cost a lot more than any of the options described here.

Got the Pearlstone adapter and it seems to be working just fine. Thanks all for your suggestions. Surprised multiple shoes were not engineered in. Oh well

Well, it effectively is engineered in. The 150 does have a threaded hole on the handle to mount all manner of toys on, along with the cold shoe on the front of the handle. I use a bracket by NRG that allows me to mount 3 Sennheiser wireless mic's at once. Not a problem.
