Does the TM900 work with nanoFlash?
When I connect my TM900 to 1080 p 50 and connect it to my nanoFlash the nano display displays "no source".
This is when the TM is set to record video, however if I set the TM to playback it will play back an existing recording that the nano will record. This suggests that my TM does not output an HDMI signal when it is set to record video. Is this just my TM900 or is this TM900s in general? Does this this also mean that a TM900 cannot be used with an external monitor during recording sessions? |

Re: Does the TM900 work with nanoFlash?
I have made some progress in using the TM900 with a nanoFlash.
In the set-up menu there is a heading called HDMI resolution offering the following options - Auto 1080p, 1080i and 576p. I was using 1080p as I was recording in 1080 p50. When I change to “Auto” my nanoFlash receives a signal that can be recorded even when the camera is on standby. I hope this means that an external monitor can be used with the TM900. The problem I have now is the image recorded by the nanoFlash displays an icon, either the “MNL” or “iA” depending on whether I have opted for manual or automatic control. In the EX3 there is the option of recording viewfinder information or not. Is there such an option for the TM900? |

Hi
On the remote control there is an option for EXT Display, this is suppose to toggle on and off the display of icons. Does that do it? Regards Phil |

Thanks Phil that does do it, the default setting seems display MNL or iA as the case maybe. Using the EXT DISPLAY button on the remote gives one three choices : - • MNL or iA. • MNL or iA plus some extra data. • Just the picture. In the end it is just the picture that I want to record, so thanks very much for that. Unfortunately there is no indication on the camera screen as to which of the three modes is operating so it would seem to be essential to use an external monitor if using a nanoFlash. I am planning to get an external monitor, ideally one that will accept the SDI output of the EX3 and the HDMI output of the TM900. The choice seems to be limited, a Ruige model sounds promising. |
