HMC 40 Synchroscan Mode
If anyone has a HMC40 I need help in putting it in the Synchroscan mode. I can get to SYNC in the menu and set it to 1/48 but when I exit my LCD still says 1/50? What am I not doing? Trying to set up for 24p and 1/48. Thanks

Why would you use synchro scan? There's a main menu option to set 24P ... then just switch to manual shutter and dial in 1/48. Or am I missing something more complex that you are trying to do?
Edit: Apologies, I'm getting my cameras mixed up. The default shutterspeeds are 1/24 and 1/50 ... but you need 1/48. Sorry to have missed your point.. |

Yes Graham, that's the point. At 24p I get 1/50. I can dial down to 1/48 by going to SYNC on the LCD Function Nav (F) menu, but when I exit back to standby the shutter speed is still 1/50. So I must be doing something wrong or missing a step.
