Edius Neo 2 - upgrade to Booster
Hi
Got my AG-HMR10 and the software: Edius Neo 2. Unfortunately I did not get the newest version but it seems that I can upgrade with no costs. But how do I do - I asked on the Grass Valley homepage but they just sent me a broken link. I'll try asking again but maybe someone here have tried to upgrade and know exatctly what to do ? |

Set up an account on Panasonic's PASS website and you'll see a small advertisement banner about the Neo to Booster upgrade. Or email sav.p2support.pavc@ml.jp.panasonic.com and ask them about it.

Hi
Still not heard from Grass valley : Found this about upgrading on the pass site: •Users who purchased AVCCAM products from April 1st until October 8th 2009 Eligible to request "EDIUS Neo 2 (Ver. 2.0)" for FREE •Users who purchased AVCCAM products after October 9th 2009 Eligible to request "EDIUS Neo 2 Booster (Ver. 2.5)" for FREE A registration key ("EDIUS serial Number") is required to be able to install the software. "EDIUS serial number" can be requested online, please refer to "Serial number request flow" for the details. Still no word of how to upgrade . I,ll try to write to the mail adres. |

Well, the upgrade doesn't seem to be straightforward, but basically you have to send a message to them while logged in and go to the contact us section. You have to type in "REQUEST EDIUS Neo 2 Booster (Ver. 2.5) INSTALLATION DISK" and after that I guess you can ask them something related to it if you want. I just did it, so I don't know how long it will take them to reply, but I'll post here when they do.

hoops
I jumped through all the hoops to get my Booster disc, they say you can't download it but have to wait for the disc to arrive from Grass Valley. Still don't have it. And I still have not received my Panasonic SD card. I'm really disappointed in the Panasonic customer service. They won't answer my e-mails. I ended up having to buy Vegas and Neoscene so I could edit my shoots with this camera. Disappointed because it's cost me a lot more money than I planned. Would not recommend this camera to another person because of the poor customer support from both Panasonic and Grass Valley.

I also requested Booster several days ago, and I received an e-mail telling me that they would send me the disc, but I replied asking if they could give me an estimate on when, and nobody replied since about ten days ago.
