Battery charger for HMC-40 battery
I want to get a spare battery charger for the VW-VBG6. I ordered one from Sterlingtek that was advertised as fitting the VW-VBG6, but of course in reality, it didn't.
Is there no third-party charger that will fit this battery? I can't even find the original Panasonic charger online anymore. What gives? |

Hi Sherri
All the HMC cameras have dedicated batteries and dedicated chargers!! It's all to do with the secure ID chip in the battery so you cannot use a generic battery or a generic charger!! B&H sells the real McCoy batteries so they might have chargers??? I have two cams so I already have a spare charger but the genuine batteries cost a fortune!!! I have seen a couple of generic batteries that "claim" to work with HMC but they have their own charger and they cannot be charged in the camera's own charger. Chris |
