Wide Angle on HMC40
Is there an adapter that can take me wider than the Panny Wide Adapter for my HMC40?
Thanks |

Which Panny WA are you using? The VW-W4307HPPK? I think that's .7x (24mm equivalent).
I use the Canon WA for the HV30 (WD-H43). It's also .7x... |

I use the Canon one also and it works great. Full zoom through and no need for a step up ring as it is 43mm. I use a hood from a Canon A1 on it.

The HMC40 has a 41 mm wide-angle (wide??) so a 0.7x takes this to a so-so 29 mm. You really need a 0.5x to get a near-decent wide-angle with this camera, and finding 0.5x lenses that don't distort horribly is difficult.
