Problem connecting HMC70 to Mac

I connect the camera to the computer and open the folder, and then the DCIM folder - but it is empty? There is video stored on the camera when I enter playback mode, but I can't see it when I connect up to a computer any advice?

Just noticed in the manual that this is for still pictures.

So - how do I get my video into Final Cut Pro from the Camera?

Try using the HD writer software that came with your camera. You will also need to transcode your footage to work with it in Final Cut.
