New to the HMC151

Hi

I am getting my new HMC151 next week.

I have one question. I am used to Canons small HF100. With the Canon a util called ImageMixer stiches the files together if you f.ex. have recorded 1 hr. in one shot, to prevent small glitches between the files.

How is this done on or delt with Panasonics.

Thanks.

/Ulf

Hi Ulf,

A user on another forum posted this,
http://peter.nxbone.net/mtsmerge/MTSMerger_1_0_0_2.zip

If you are proficient in DOS you could also try this,

1. Press WIN+R
2. Type cmd and press Enter
3. Navigate to the folder where the files are located
4. Type copy 00000.mts /b + 00001.mts /b + 00002.mts /b output.mts
5. Press Enter
6. Wait until it is done. (It takes several minutes to complete.)

If you are not proficient in DOS, this can get a little overwhelming, but it does work once you get it figured out.

Hi Mark

Thanks a million :-)

Have read other posts by you elsewhere, Mark, and seen some of your stuff on your webpage, awesom stuff. Thanks for sharing all this with others - especially newbies like me will benifit from it.

I guess you have moved on from Liquid. How are you planning to edit your footage. Planning to get one myself but thinking about capturing from the analog output.

Hi David

I am editing in Edius. I think it's a great NLE and they have a AVCHD converter includes, that converts to Canopus HQ codec. I do this with my Canons as well.

And you are right - I have been editing Liquid once :-)

One more thing - the dealer recommended me to use class 6 memory cards, up to 30 MB/sec. but I have only class 4 cards (15 MB/sec.)

Anybody can tell me if class 4 cards should be ok?

Thanks.

I know since you were on the Liquid boards. Edius is nice but I just dont get the workflow. Have tried it a couple times.
