Congrats! And I hate you. =]
Just think, for the price of an EX1, you could get 2 Panny 150's. |

Congratulations! I really looked into the EX-1, but it didn't fit in my business plan. Additionally it is so unbalanced and it didn't feel I could ask Trisha to shoot hours of handheld footage with it on a wedding day. I would love to see some side by side comparison footage. |

Got mine yesterday! love it as well and look forward to many happy shooting hours. Still trying to figure out how to load scene files from the memory card on it. I find it a little confusing. Great camera build quality, size weight and controls love the "wave form" and the focusing graph!! have so much to learn from the HV30.

Hi Scott! Very cool
I just picked up a HMC-150P yesterday and also have a nicely tuned up EX1 that i've been shooting with for about 16 months I just charged the batteries and finished setting up the scene file, tweaking the lcd, all the base setup stuff. My SDHC cards arrive tommorrow so will test recordings tommorrow. Like you - I am really liking what i see so far. It's well balanced - the switches are where I need them, it does 720 60P (need that), good enough level of control over scene settings, very nice in low light - low noise - accurate colors. I don't know if i'd sell the EX1 but i'm sure the two will compliment each other nicely. I just sold my Z1U. I think the HMC-150 is slightly better in terms of low light - and I suspect is going provide really nice output given the AVC codec. After going to the EX1 and XDCAM - you realize just how critical the codec is. It can make footage from a really nice front pretty crusty. The Z1 had to go anyways - interlaced is history Let me know how your results compare Paul |

Omar, I bought it from a local authorized dealer in Toronto. The BH price is the best I've seen. I went with the local dealer as I had trade-ins, and get the local warrenty etc.
Thanks Paul |
