CF card restore
Hey all,
This is a bit OT but I have a CF card that I can read the photos off of on a pc, but for some reason, nothing will format it and the cameras I put it in say CF card error. Is there any software out there that will just annihilate all of the data and restore the disk and format it? The only thing 'recovery' software will do me is get the photos of (which I already did) Thanks -Brian |

I do that a lot with my CF cards, as I often use spare space on them for tranferring files. The only thing to do is put the card into your camera and reformat. Anything on them will be lost, but now you can start with a clean slate.

If I put it in the camera, it says CF Card Error and wont let me format. I have tried multiple cameras.

Time for a new card? Might be cheaper than buying software to reformat.
I was just looking at PhotoRescue (which saved a bunch of my pics before), and noticed they have a CardWiper program that will really wipe the card. What happens when you try to format on the PC? If you get an error code, try googling it. |
