Jvc Manufacturing
when JVC cameras are manufactured do they have seperate producton lines for the NTSC model than the PAL, I ask this because i own a JVC GY-DV5000u I did a comparison on every level with the PAL model, only to find the hardware is in my estimation identical, so i know there is a difference in the firmware, now in the menu there is a function that lets you switch the cameras county designation does this mean i can change my camera from NTSC to PAL?

Although unlikely, the only way to know for sure is to try it.
I know lots of people are convinced they can crack their firmware for a better camera, but in reality the closest anyone seems to get is there diagnostic menus, which although cool, are of little help in changing the feature set. |

the thing is i have full access to all the cameras internal functions, and yes i know full well what could happen if you play with the settings, but i just need to know I wish someone from JVC could confirm or deny this
