Small, cheap HD camcorder with CCD not CMOS for car mount?
Hi there,
I'm looking to buy a small HD camcorder. It will spend most of its life bolted to a car (i.e. it will be vibrated a lot). I've been advised many times that CMOS camcorders are a poor choice for car mounts because the rolling shutter found on many (all?) CMOS sensors turns images to jelly when vibrated. So, my question is a simple one: are there such things as HD camcorders which fulfil the following requirements: 1) small (HV20-sized) 2) cheap (<£1000) 3) doesn't have a rolling shutter Put another way: what I'm looking for is an HV20 with a CCD sensor instead of CMOS! (Please, I don't wish to start a heated debate about rolling shutters - I just want to know if I'm correct in believing that all the currently available HD prosumer camcorders use CMOS sensors). |

Glidecam cleaning?
Anyone know if you can take apart and clean the ball bearings in a Glidecam 2000? Just didnt want to unscrew random parts and not be able to get it back together.
