Intel or AMD for Adobe?

I might have read somewhere that the latest AMD dual core microprocessors perform better running the Adobe production suite on a PC... but I'm not sure... can someone confirm this for me please?

Thank you,

I'd ask Adobe.

All the benchmarks I've seen have the Core 2 Duo outperforming the AMD dual cores significantly. That said, I upgraded from an AMD 3500+ to a dual-core 4800+ and the difference in Adobe (at least Premiere Pro 2.0) is very noticeable.

No way. The Intel Core 2 Duo runs circles around anything AMD has to offer now. Intel 53xx is even faster than a Core 2 Duo.
