DV monitor software?
Is there a program out there that will let me just have a window open on my desktop with what my camera is seeing? (hooked to the computer via firewire)
I have software for using my DV cam with chat software such as Yahoo, but is there anything else that will let me open a window? I'm using XP with Media Center, and it recognizes the camera, but I can't find any link to view what it's seeing. Thanks! |

You don't need anything at all! Just open up "my computer" and on the camera... voila, you see the picture!
I don't see why a Media Center would not do that, my XP home does! |

But did you know that Vista doesn't? I'm at a loss to understand why that is so. Note, though, that the window that XP displays is a half resolution image (usually). If you want full resolution or even full screen, you can use our DV processor (see my profile for link). |
