A Couple Final Questions Before The Big Day!
well,...I'm doing my first wedding tomorrow for practice, and many people on this forum have helped me to prepare my hardware...this is mainly a test run,...but I still want to do the best job possible...so my questions are:
1. What kind of miniDV tape should I buy...I'm looking to buy from a costco, target, etc...I'm not sure what quality I will need. If there are different types of miniDV tape to know about? Certain specs to look for? What kind of price to expect? 2. I've set up my computer to be ready for my video. I've downloaded trial versions of both vegas 4.0 and pinnacle edition dv. They both have their own "demo" implementation in terms of either watermarking the saved video, or disabling saving altogether, but my main question is whether or not video capture on these demo versions are generally fully functional? I'm only renting the camera, so I can't re-capture once I get a full version of say vegas 4.0 since I will have returned the rental by then. Once I get my registered copy of an NLE, I want all the video to already be captured to my hard drive, ready to edit, and I'm just afraid that the trial versions of these titles might hinder this? Any ideas on this? Thanks again for all the help i've received on this forum! |

Make sure the people you rent the camera from have cleaned the heads already. That way you won't have to worry about mixing tapes with different types of lubricants, and ruining your video.
As for what tape to use? Personal choice, I use Fujifilm. There's lots of good brands though. Sony Premium, Panasonic, etc...
