Novice here; Good camera for me?
Hey guys... sorry if this is in the wrong spot.
Over the past few months I've been getting into video editing and have been using my buddy's camcorders and my canon SD600's video function. Well, the time has come to where I kinda want my own. I'll be doing a lot of skiing videos and the like; a lot of outdoors stuff. What's the best camera for $400 for my uses? Oh, and I want MiniDV. Thanks. |

I'd recommend the Canon Elura 100. Inexpensive, compact, and good quality.

I was looking at the Panasonic PV-GS180 as it is priced at 419 bucks on newegg.com. It has 3xCCD 1/6". How does the Elura compare to this? I'm aware that the Elura is much cheaper than this Panasonic.
Thanks. |
