Retailer in (Central) Ohio?
Hello all,
Does anyone know a retailer in Ohio (preferably close to Columbus, but I'll take just about anywhere in Ohio) that sells video equipment? There are several shops around for still photography, but the transfer over to motion is limited. If I knew exactly what I wanted then I would just order from a sponsor of this site. I'm basically looking for a store with knowledgeable staff that can help me problem solve and that I can touch and play with the equipment before I buy. I'm not trying to offend the sponsors of this site - I've read the policies. So if this post needs to be removed, I understand. Maybe it would be better for responders to this post to e-mail me privately or private message me? Thanks for any help... Kevin |

Kevin, try Industrial Video -- they're in Cleveland and Columbus:

Thanks Chris, I'll get in touch with them later this week. I'll need to rent/buy a shotgun mic and an on camera light for a shoot in January and really wanted to see/hear what I was getting before hand.
Thanks again, Kevin |

For renting stuff, you're probably better off to get in contact with Greg Sabo in Canal (http://sabostudios.com). Or heck, depending on what exactly you're looking for, I might have what you're looking for.

Thanks for the tip Mike. I'll have to make a trip to C.W. after the holiday. BTW, I looked at you site. Very well done, from the site to the sample videos.

Mike, Thanks for the tip. I called Sabo and they don't really deal in small productions like what I do. And as far as renting I mic goes, they said that they hire a sound man for their stuff and s/he brings his/her own mics to the shoot.
