There are many factors that can affect the quality of the sound, Hernan, but here are a few things to keep in mind. The GL2 with an XLR adapter still has to go into the camera through the tiny mini pin connector that causes many of the problems which cameras that use this connector are subject to.

The PD150 will allow you to record two separate channels of audio with independent gain control for each channel. Or, you can feed the output of one audio source to the two channels, with separate control of each channel. This is very handy for back-up purposes. You can have one channel on manual gain and the second on AGC, if you wish.

The two channels have separate level indicators.

The PD150 has the ability to use a Noise Reduction circuit, if you choose.

The PD150 has other professional audio options built in, such as mic attenuation, switchable phantom power, AGC, etc.

A large part of the quality of your sound will depend on the input device. If you are using a high quality microphone, such as the Sennheiser 416, you will get very clean audio with the PD150. If you are using the supplied microphone, your results will be considerably lower quality.

Thank you very much, Wayne. All that you told me is true, but I dont have the money for the pd 150 and I trying to have a good broadcast sound with the GL 2. Maybe a minidisc or DAT wil be better. I don't know. Thank for your answer.

With the exception of the switchable phantom power, the GL 2 does all of the above. Only other difference is that the GL2 requires a adapter to interface with the XLR jack of most professional quality mics.
