Vivitar filters
Does Vivitar make quality filters? I'm looking for a close-up kit, and am looking for reputable manufacturers besides Schneider/B+W. I've never heard of Vivitar.....

I have some Vivitar filters which came with used lenses I bought. I never use these filters because I think they are crappy. I should throw them out but I leave them on my lenses to protect them. If I decide to use one of these lenses, I take the Vivitar off and use a decent filter.

I agree with Frank, Vivitar is junk. They are not a manufacture, they're a distributor. They buy in bulk from the cheapest source, and have their name stamped on the ring.
