Never turn in a rough cut to film festivals!
A guy I worked with last year had his short movie produced this year accepted into the film festival. He showed the festival management a rough cut, probably so he could get an extension on the deadline. A glitch happened and the rough cut was shown over on Maui! I guess the wrong DVD was shipped. What a nightmare to have your movie shown without fixed audio and proper editing. I'm sure it was a simple clerical error. The film festival has hundreds of works to keep organised over several viewing locations, so I don't really blame them or the director. It is just one of those things...

Hmmm... sounds similar to another rule: don't show customers unedited work.
