Embedding Data into an MPEG stream
Just another one:
I am setting up a new IPTV channel and I am looking for a piece of software or possibly a Final Cut Pro plug-in that enables me to embed data into a MPEG video, The reason for this is so viewers can receive URL information and subsequently navigate to the relevant website dependant on what image is the TV screen. If anyone can help I would be very grateful. |

James,
Here is a link you might be interested in: http://www.alphaworks.ibm.com/tech/tk4mpeg4 It has a Java development toolkit that allows you to embedd links into MP4 files. It also contains some utilities (software) to embedd URLs into MP4 files (AVGen and XMTBatch). I used an earlier version (three or four years ago). I've forgotten all of the specifics but I did use it back then to put links into MP4 files I was working on. I would be interested in learning more about your project (if you can discuss it). Hope this helps.
